About SignPDF

SignPDF is a free online tool that lets you add your signature and text to PDF files. No sign-up, no account, no watermark, and no data leaves your browser.

The tool runs entirely on the client side. When you upload a PDF, it is read into memory and rendered for preview. Your signature — whether drawn, typed, or uploaded as an image — is embedded into the PDF using PDF modification libraries that run in the browser. The original file never reaches a server.

How it works

1. Upload a PDF file from your device.
2. Draw your signature on the canvas, upload a signature image, or type text.
3. Drag elements to position them on the PDF page.
4. Download the signed PDF — instantly, with no server processing.

Why we built it

Most free PDF signing tools either limit daily usage, watermark the output, or require creating an account. Paid tools like DocuSign and HelloSign offer monthly subscriptions that are overkill for signing a few documents. SignPDF fills a simple gap: a fast, free way to sign a PDF and download it, with no strings attached.

Privacy

No PDF file or signature data is uploaded to any server. The entire process runs in your browser using JavaScript. Once you close the tab, all data is gone. For full details, see the privacy policy.
